In the winter of 2012, IRM was hired by both companies to layout harvest units near Bingen Washington. The work included the following: Boundary tagging, Riparian Reserve Tagging, Road layout, and GPS mapping. IRM field crews used GNSS capable GPS receivers, to map the harvest boundaries, RMZs, and leave trees in ArcPad 10.
IRM has extensive experience with harvest unit layout, and is thoroughly knowledgeable of forest practice regulations in both Oregon and Washington, as well as on the east and west sides of the Cascades
IRM successfully completed the work on schedule, in highly adverse conditions — deep snow and severe wind throw and breakage.
